solidarity tourism groups the forms of "alternative" tourism that put at the center of travel and meeting the man who is part of a territorial development logic.
The involvement of local people in the different phases of the tourism project, the respect for people, cultures and nature, and a more equitable distribution of the resources generated are the foundations of this type of tourism
This definition was developed in 2004 by a Steering Committee comprised of UNAT, solidarity tourism associations and their partners.
